Sony RDR-GX315 DVD Recorder

Newbie Review by Steve Smitty Newbie Product Reviewer:

The Sony RDR-GX315 DVD Recorder is easy to use and gives you excellent pictures. Some of the features that makes this great are: It has 8 DVD recording quality settings, front-panel i.LINK (IEEE 1394) digital camcorder input, 2 audio/video inputs (1 S-video, 2 composite) including 1 front-panel, optical and coaxial digital audio outputs, audio/video output (composite, S-video, and component video), RF input/output. Plus it records to the following types of discs: write-once DVD-Rs and DVD+Rs, for making permanent recordings and it is rewritable DVD-RWs and DVD+RWs, for making recordings you can watch and then erase. I like the fact that it is compatible with DVD+R double-layer discs (hold up to 8.5GB), it plays DVD-Video, DVD-R & DVD-RW, and DVD+R & DVD+RW and also plays CDs, audio CD-Rs & CD-RWs, and MP3 CDs and plays digital picture CDs (JPEG). “ It allows me to record any channel received through my satellite dish. It is easy to set up and operate. If you a player that can perform the best then this is for you.”

Pros:

Easy to use, excellent picture quality.

Cons:

It has lack of S-Video input.
