The Sennheiser HD-580 Consumer Headphones are an ideal choice for the professional recording engineer. The HD 580 can be connected directly to HiFi systems of the highest quality, in particular DAT, DCC, and CD players. Features: Computer optimized magnet system minimizes harmonic and inter modulation distortion, Extremely lightweight aluminum voice coils ensure excellent dynamic response, Neodymium ferrous magnet system ensures optimum sensitivity and great dynamic response, Exceptionally natural, spatial, and accurate sound and has a detachable OFC copper cable, Kevlar reinforced with very low handling noise. I recommend them highly. The accuracy and detail is outstanding. There are probably better headphones out there but not at this price point.

Beautiful full range of sounds, Circumaural design, Durable and Comfortable construction, Long cord, modular design.

Limited dynamic presentation
