The JVC TH-A9 System is excellent, especially when either S-Video or component video connection is used. The surround sound in Dolby Digital or DTS modes is very good with good bass provided by the powered subwoofer. The player can decode DTS, Dolby Digital and Dolby Pro Logic. There are also several surround modes and Digital Acoustic Modes. The player has resume function, zoom, JVC’s “Digest” function, repeat play, program play, random play, fast (2x, 5x, 10x, 20x, 60x) and slow motion scan (6 slow speeds forward, 5 back). I like the parent control and sleep timer and screen saver. For the very good picture and sound quality, and the low price, you cannot beat this system

Pros:

Stylish; good pictures; convenience

Cons:

Small satellite speakers.
