The Kenwood HTB-505 System is a great starter system for someone looking to get in to a Home Theater, and already has a DVD, VCR, T.V. The HTB-505 delivers the big, engulfing audio that drives home theater. A powerful receiver (100 Watts x 5 channels) is the system's centerpiece, providing Dolby Digital, DTS, and Dolby Pro Logic II decoding for highly defined surround sound, and it's perfect for your music as well. An 8" subwoofer with a built-in 100-Watt amplifier provides the explosive bass sounds that add depth and drama to movies. S-Video inputs and outputs are provided on the receiver, and a universal pre-programmed remote with joystick control is included. This is a great system for those just starting out with home theater who are looking for something affordable.

Pros:

Low cost, decent sized front speakers, decent sound.

Cons:

complicated remote,Only 1 optical input, no component inputs.
