Compatible formats: For audio, AAC, Protected AAC, MP3, MP3 VBR, Audible, Apple Lossless, AIFF and WAV. For photos, the iPod accepts JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIFF, PSD (Mac only) and PNG formats.
