Seeing as the centre speaker of a home cinema system deals with the vast majority of vocals and some of the sound effect work, it is imperative that you choose a good one. If you are on a strict budget, this can be an arduous job. However, do not overlook the Sony in your quest, as you may overlook one of the better centre speakers available. Two of Sony's signature yellow coned 5 1/4" drivers flank a 1" dome tweeter and together they produce an impressive sound, not too sharp and accurate enough to convey the right messages. For a seamless surround sound effect, add the SS-CN550H to your home theater ensemble.
