Who says floorstanding speakers have to be ugly columns standing in each corner of your room? Yamaha prove that large boxes can be attractive (relatively, of course) with these examples. Either display the ultra modern silver speaker cones, matching the silver feet, or cover them up with the removable mesh cover, leaving the silver feet to stand out. Whichever way you choose, the sound is always good. A 1" tweeter offers the high notes, mid range is covered by a 5" driver and the bass duties with two 6 1/4" woofers. Rated at 100w RMS, these speakers also feature Yamaha's waveguide horns, giving the midrange and tweeters a much improved sound image.

Pros:

Surprisingly good looking, price, excellent sound reproduction

Cons:

System may need a Sub for proper bass duties
